It’s so easy to get caught up in daily routines, (not that routines are a bad thing) but we tend to forget to take a step back, take a deep breath and regroup. Take time to do an overview and discuss those issues that may have been pushed to the side lines.
Try designating staff members from different areas of the practice to assess issues that they are having with getting their jobs done, as well as the triumphs and successes that they have had. Meet as a group and try to resolve some of the issues, this helps make everyone feel involved and that their input is valued. This is a great way to increase team spirit. At the next meeting discuss how these resolutions have worked out.
Remember not only should staff members step back and take a look, the physician should as well because what they say and do have a huge impact on the smooth running of the office. Not only might you find that your days run slick, but that you also have found a way to increase revenue.
Yeah team!
