    Remember without patients/customers you have no practice. Your integrity and professionalism should be the only advertisement that you need to launch a successful practice.
     Everyone has a right to be treated with dignity and respect, isn’t this what you demand for yourself?  All this starts before the patient see’s the physician. It begins with word of mouth, interaction with your front end staff on that initial phone call to the office.
     
    In business, strategic planning is one of the keys to success. It is essential that you set a standard of care that all employees with any connection to your practice follows and this includes you the physician, remember that old saying “practice what you preach.”
     
    Take the positive patient dynamic approach. For those of you that are confused with that approach it is defined as the way patients view you as reflected through your office and staff this can be a negative or positive dynamic.
     
    Make sure that your staff knows what is expected of them it can be something as simple as smiling, nice to see you please and thank you. You must be that physician extraordinaire! Don’t just settle for being one of the other guys.
     
    Plan, implement, insist and follow up, change if necessary. It’s your practice.
